Chinese Buddha late 1800's Painting on Silk, 1940's Frame
An original Chinese painting on silk depicts Buddha with minions.
Accented with gold, this work of art dates from the late 1800's. Glass is somewhat wavy in the shaped wooden frame from around 1920, the genuine burnished gold leaf finish is in excellent condition.
We have not opened the frame to examine the painting, but there are losses and stains, see photos. Muted tones are lovely on this antique scene from China.
Overall dimensions are 37" wide and 64" tall.
