Coromandel 8 Panel Hand Carved Lacquer Vintage Chinese Screen

A genuine "Coromandel" Chinese screen has many layers of colored lacquer against a black ground, the design was hand carved down through the layers to reveal different shades.

Eight panels have brass hinges on this vintage furniture from about 50 years ago. The front shows court figures at an Imperial garden with a lake and boat. The reverse is a simpler scene from nature. There are various touchups to this traditional Asian work of art.

Seven feet tall, each panel is 16" wide, so total width if flat is 10' 8" but if used "accordion" style as shown, width is about 8' total.
