Often called a "deacon's" bench, this country hall bench was hand crafted in the 1850's in traditional "Windsor Comb Back" design.
The reserving a few mars and wear for antique character. Solid pine and maple with hickory spindles, the frame is tight and strong, reglued to be durable for another generation.
Joints have hand carved splines for strength on this American made antique East Coast furniture. These benches with hand turned spindles were also popular in barber shops and fire stations.
Measurements are 87" long, 21" deep, 42" tall and the sculpted seat is 18" high.
