Country Pine Firkin or Sugar Bucket with Lid

A genuine antique "firkin" or sugar bucket is pine with birch binding, and dates from the mid to late 1800's.

The finish is beautiful with nice patina - stains and wear, there are losses as shown. The lid is original, sides are curved staves as in a barrel. Attached with wooden pegs, the handle is intact.

Size of this picturesque American antique is 13" diameter and 12" tall, excluding the handle.
