Dutch Bombe 1950's Vintage Walnut & Burl Secretary Desk, Secret Compartments

Expertly hand crafted in Holland about 60 years ago, a traditional Baroque style "bombe" or convex secretary desk has carved ball and claw feet.

Walnut and matched burl have an excellent renewed finish on this vintage Dutch furniture. Behind the locking drop front are tiny cubicles and drawers, a small locking cabinet, a sliding trapdoor and secret compartments as well. The front rests on pull out supports. Lavishly embossed hardware is original. Lower drawers have working locks and solid oak dovetailed sides.

Measurements are 39" wide at the base, 22" deep, 40" tall and the desktop is 29" high.
