Signed "Dyer Brothers of St. Paul," Minnesota, this solid oak 1890 era reed or pump organ still plays.
The quarter sawn oak case has delicate "spoon" carving and a very fine old finish. Under the music desk is storage, a sliding cover goes over the keyboard. Curved galleries held lamps or candles for evening playing. The stop pulls for different voices were replaced long ago, so the name of each stop is a mystery.
Notes play fairly well with different unknown voices and pumping the pedals is easy.
Measurements of this historic musical instrument are 49" long including the handles, 24" deep and 54" tall.
