Signed "Edison Model C19," this wind up phonograph has a quarter sawn oak case. The luxury line "Diamond Disc" series with a genuine diamond needle was produced from 1912 to 1929, this machine carries the most recent patent from 1916.
In great working order, this top of the line record player has beautiful tone. The gold plated head plays only thick Edison 78 rpm records.
The old finish is in excellent condition. There is a sliding "earmuff" volume control, speed, and off switch plus lever drop cuing. A selection of about 70 thick Edison records is included with this American made antique furniture. The original gold plated key operates both locks.
Measurements when closed are 23" wide excluding the removable crank, 25" deep and 51" tall.
