An authentic American Empire period chest, dresser or dressing table was hand made in New York in the 1820's. Carved pineapple finials, lion paw feet and carved columns are beautiful.
Mahogany with matched flame grain and inlaid banding is enhanced with an excellent satiny finish. There are shrinkage separations from age that have been restored, see photos.
Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms. Square cut nails are visible on this historic piece. The original mirror has "smoke" to show its age. Gold plated embossed brass pulls are of the period, the jewelry drawer has a working lock.

Measurements are 37" wide, 24" deep, 66" tall and the main top is 36" high.
