Empire 1825 Antique Dropleaf Breakfast, Dining or Sofa Table

Carved of solid mahogany about 1825, an American Empire dropleaf breakfast, dining or sofa table has a pedestal with classical acanthus and lion paw motifs.

The lustrous deep finish is in excellent condition with warm antique patina. Single wide boards have beautiful grain and a little warping from age, see photos. The apron has brass inlaid banding on this historic American made furniture.

Dimensions with drop leaves down are 39" long, 23" wide and 27 1/2" tall, with both leaves raised, the top is 39" x 53."
