Empire 1900 Antique Hand Carved Sofa or Settee

An American Empire design sofa or settee was hand carved of solid mahogany about 1900, and has traditional lion paw feet. The old finish is beautiful with warm antique patina, and the deep carving is truly expert.

Seat springs are comfortable but supportive, the back and arms are firm, typical of the period.

This furniture has been newly upholstered in silky Italian brocade, a design of the era. Dramatic scrolled arms are bold and beautiful.

Measurements are 60" long, 25" deep, 36" tall and the seat is 17" high.
