An Empire design sofa from about 1900 was hand carved with classical acanthus leaves, cornucopia or horn of plenty motifs and lion paw feet.
The old finish is in extremely fine condition on this American made antique furniture. Solid mahogany, there are matched flame grain panels and scrolling. One arm has a tiny flex, it could be reglued at the next upholstering. Fabric is understated and unworn, the seat is firm but comfortable.
Measurements are 92" wide, 26" deep, 32" tall and the seat is 18" high and 20" deep.
