Empire Mahogany Paw-foot Chest or Dresser
Authentic American Empire period furniture from about 1825, a beautiful chest or dresser has matched flame mahogany and hand-carved paw feet with acanthus leaves. Shaped columns have Ionic capitals, drawers are hand-dovetailed.
An East Coast antique, the deep shining finish is excellent. Surfaces are hand-planed, drawer bottoms are chamfered.
Measurements of this stately and historic piece 47" wide, 24" deep and 48" tall.
