Federal 1940's Secretary Desk & Bookcase, Secret Compartments

A classic Federal style secretary desk has a bookcase top and secret compartments.

Dating from the late 1940's, this walnut furniture has an excellent satiny finish. The removable bookcase has a working lock, adjustable shelves and original grill work in the glass doors. When the drop front is opened, wood supports extend automatically. The lock works, inside are drawers, cubicles and two "secret" compartments.

American made vintage furniture, the graceful serpentine base has carved claw and ball feet.

Measurements are 38" wide, 20" deep and 81" tall, the desktop is 29" high.
