French Antique 1920 Secretary Writing Desk, Hand Painted Roll Top

An elegant Louis XIV design secretary or writing desk has a hand painted roll top that automatically opens when the drawer is pulled out.

The front flips open, revealing a tooled leather writing surface and tiny drawers for papers above. Cast brass mounts are original on this antique furniture from France. The renewed finish is in excellent condition on matched mahogany wood. A forest scene with a man and his dog are the subject of the original painting.

Dimensions are 32" wide, 22" deep, 39 1/2" tall and the leather desktop is 31" high.
