A splendid library bookcase was hand crafted in France in the 1920's of solid fine grained oak. Beveled glass panes in the doors, raised panels and hand cut dovetail joints are authentic on this historic library furniture.
The original finish is very well preserved, waxed and buffed so all that is needed to maintain the soft luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
Shelves adjust on wooden supports. Behind lower doors are pull out tray drawers. Hardware is original, including lift off hinges and working locks. This historic bookcase can be completely disassembled for delivery, the base and top are single pieces, and the entire pegged back comes apart to move.
Measurements are 10' wide at the crown, 2' deep and 7' 3" tall.
