French Tulip & Rosewood Marquetry Vintage Roll Top Secretary Desk, Bronze Mounts
A palatial secretary desk was hand crafted in France about 25 years ago of genuine exotic rosewood and tulipwood marquetry with cast bronze mounts.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this vintage Louis XV design desk. There are minor shrinkage separations from age. When the lower drawer is unlocked and opened, the roll automatically rises.
The flip out writing surface is gold tooled leather. Drawers have dovetailed joints and upholstered silk interiors on this luxurious vintage furniture from Europe. The lavish hardware and gallery are original.
Measurements are 37" wide, 24" deep and 44 1/2" tall, the desktop is 32 1/2" high.
