French Walnut Antique 1840 Linen Chest or Dresser, Marble Top #29821

There is an original charcoal marble top on this wormy walnut linen chest or dresser from about 1840, which was hand crafted in France.

The original finish is very well preserved with just enough mars and stains for a little antique character. The warm patina has been preserved and waxed, all that is needed to maintain the soft luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.

Drawers have solid oak sides with hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms, a key operates the brass locks and serves as a pull. The marble has been polished and given a protective low luster finish on this historic furniture.

Measurements are 51" wide, 24" deep and 37 1/2" tall.
