This magnificent Georgian or Federal style mahogany breakfront china cabinet or bookcase has beautiful banding with ebony and flame grain inlay. The rich deep finish is excellent, original brasses are embossed with cornucopia, or horns of plenty - the traditional sign of bounteous hospitality.
The crown has distinctive arched molding, and traditional wood grillwork divides individual glass panes. Inside are adjustable shelves with grooves for plate display, and the flip side is flat for books. There are minor mars at the edges, and the upper section is separate for easier moving.
Drawers are dovetailed on this classic American vintage furniture from about 50 years ago. The center drawer opens to a desk with gold-tooled leather. Measurements are 6'4" wide, 18" deep and 7' tall.
