Globe Signed 1880's Antique Pickle Castor Set, Jar & Tongs
Signed "Globe Silverplate Co.," this Victorian 1880 era pickle "castor" set includes a hand cut glass jar, lid, frame and tongs with eagle claws.
The silver plate is worn, down to the brass and "Brittania" metal underneath in places, giving a soft pewter look. This American made antique tableware is from the days when pickles were elegantly served at every meal.
Size is 5" diameter, 12" tall and the tongs is 6" long.
