Hand carved of solid oak with Medieval figures atop spiral columns and Gothic tracery, this bookcase or china cabinet from Holland dates to the early 1900's.
The top of the base cabinet is revarnished for durability, elsewhere the original finish is very well preserved and has been waxed and buffed, so all that is needed to maintain its patina is an occasional wipe with soft dry cloth.
Side panels are raised, hand chisel marks by a master carver are visible everywhere. The center door has hand leaded stained glass. There is a tiny break in one pane and one pane has different texture than the others, see photos.
Locks work with various keys and wrought iron hardware is original on this antique Dutch library or dining room furniture.
The upper section is removable for easier delivery.
Measurements are 6' wide, 21" deep and 60" tall.
