Harbor Scene & Sailing Ships late 1800's Original Oil Painting, Signed

A marvelously colored original oil painting on canvas depicts a northern European harbor with sailing ships. The subtle technique is masterful in this work of art, signed indistinctly lower left.

The canvas is undamaged, there is fine crackling from age to the paint, see photos. There are later touchups to the lavishly sculpted and shaded dark gold frame. Overall size is 31" wide, 36" tall and 2 1/2" deep.
