Hickory Chair James River Plantations Secretary Desk

This elegant secretary desk with a double arched bookcase top is signed by famous maker "Hickory Chair Company," from their "James River Plantations" collection.

Mahogany with matched burl, the finish is in excellent condition with minor mars at the edges. This vintage desk from about 20 years ago is all original.

The separate upper section is lighted and has glass shelves. A lock releases the drop front which rests on pull out supports, inside are tiny drawers and cubicles. Graduated lower drawers have solid oak dovetailed sides. Brasses are heavyweight on this American made furniture.

Measurements of this elegant desk are 35" wide, 20" deep, 81" tall and the writing surface is 28" high.
