Italian 1890 Antique Hall Stand, Coat & Umbrella Rack

This 1890's Italian hall stand with coat and umbrella rack would be beautiful in a dressing area as well. Walnut wood has an original finish in very fine condition with warm patina. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its luster. Original large embossed bronze coat and hat hooks with griffin heads have traces of the original genuine gold finish. There are irregularities from shrinkage and small mars at the edges for antique character. A brass rail held canes and umbrellas over the tin pan for drips at the bottom. Details at the edges are hand carved on this useful furniture from the Milan area in the north of Italy.

Size is 52" wide, 6' 10" tall and 8" deep.
