Italian Marble Top Chairside Table, Carved Cherub Sculpture

This extraordinary Italian chair side table from around 1920 has a hand carved oak sculpture of a cherub, supporting a black marble top. The bronze base has a little antique verde gris.

Polished and sealed to resist stains, the famous Nero Portoro marble is also Italian. The finish on the pedestal is excellent, there are subtle dark gold accents on this sturdy and heavy weight furniture.

Size is 16" diameter and 25" tall, just right for a book or a drink.
