Italian Renaissance 1900 Antique Back Bar, Server or Sideboard, Marble Top

A magnificent back bar, sideboard or server was hand carved in the Renaissance manner about 1900 for a palazzo in northern Italy. Solid walnut, the lion paw feet and fine detailing are masterful.

Tops have been revarnished for durability. The rest of the original finish is very well preserved and has been waxed and buffed, so all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.

The green marble has professional repairs to the rear under the tops, and has been polished and sealed to resist stains. An interior shelf has a warp from age.

Original door locks and keys operate on this historic and palatial European furniture. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and original brass pulls. The upper section and marble are removable for easier delivery.

Measurements are 86" wide to the tips of the paw feet, 25" deep, 80" tall and the marble top is 42" high.
