A small Japanese "kanto naga Hibachi" brazier from the early 1900's is ash and elm burl with a copper lining. A small charcoal fire was used for cooking, making tea and heating sake wine. This charming antique furniture makes an interesting coffee table as well.
Drawers for towels, tea leaves and dried seaweed were built with wooden pegs. The copper lining and brass pulls have nice antique patina, see photos. There is a removable cutting board.
Preserved with a clear finish, there are stains and mars for a little antique character, see photos. Size is 26" long, 15" deep and 13 1/2" tall.
