Signed by famed Arts and Crafts period maker "L. & J.G. Stickley" around 1905,this reclining "Morris" chair is sound and well preserved.
Solid quarter sawn oak has an original finish with some later revarnishing, and has been waxed and buffed. All that is needed to maintain its luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
Cushions are newly upholstered on this historic American made Craftsman furniture. The incomplete decal signature label is in the form of a traditional screw clamp.
Joints are secured with authentic round wooden pegs. There are three reclining positions, adjustable with an oak cross piece.
Measurements are 29 1/2" wide, 38" tall, 41" deep in the middle position and the seat is 16" high.
