This grand six door solid oak icebox was made for a mansion in Minneapolis about 1890. The finish is in excellent condition, incised carving and moldings are authentic. Lavishly embossed cast solid brass hardware is original.
Four upper doors latch when pushed to close, the bottom two doors have modern magnetic catches. Interior shelves are tin or later wood. A hinged panel at the bottom allowed for a drip pan to catch melted ice.
This American made antique kitchen furniture is signed "Lapland" on a brass plaque.
Measurements are 48" wide, 27" deep and 64 1/2" tall including the removable wheels.
