Library, Writing or Dining Table, 1900 Antique Cherry & Ebony, Switzerland

A spectacular library or dining table or writing desk is solid cherry and other fruitwoods with inlaid ebony accents, and was said to be from Switzerland. Dating from about 1900, the pedestal and legs are giant spiral or rope twist columns, secured with carved wooden pegs. Two pull out "refectory" leaves offer additional space.

The renewed gleaming finish is in excellent condition with warm patina on this very substantial European antique furniture.

Measurements are 39 1/2" wide, 31" tall and 51 1/2" long when closed, with both leaves extended, length is 8' overall.
