Maddox NY 1950 Vintage Secretary Desk, Claw & Ball Feet, Secret Drawers
Signed by famous maker, "Maddox of NY," this classic secretary desk was expertly carved about 1950 with claw and ball feet.
The locking drop front has "automatic" supports. Inside are tiny cubicles and drawers for papers plus secret compartments. Dovetailed lower drawers have gracefully curved "oxbow" fronts, hardware is original.
The gleaming finish is in excellent condition on glowing mahogany.
Size is 38" wide, 24" deep, 41 1/2" tall and the writing surface is 29" high.
