Mahogany Antique Chair with Carved Face, New Upholstery, Karpen #29288

An opulent armchair was carved of solid mahogany with a deeply sculpted face and lion paw feet about 1900. No signature survives, but we recognize this as the work of the famed Chicago maker, "Karpen." The seat is firm and comfortable, upholstery is new.

The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture. Reglued to serve another generation, the frame is tight and strong.

Dimensions are 29" wide, 29" deep, 37" tall and the seat is 18" high.
