A classical bookcase from about 1910 is mahogany and birch with hand leaded beveled glass panes. Columns and carved paw feet are stately.
The top has been revarnished for durability, the rest of the original finish is very well preserved and has been waxed and buffed. All that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
Two separate banks of shelves are adjustable, doors have original brass pulls and a working lock. There is an old restoration to the left door frame, see photos.
Measurements are 48 1/2" wide, 15" deep and 58 1/2" tall.
