Marble Top Carved Walnut French Bedside Chest or Nightstand

Hand crafted in France about 1890, a marble top solid walnut bedside chest or nightstand has four drawers plus a marble lined compartment.

The marble top has a repair at one corner and has been polished and sealed to resist stains. A deep finish is very well preserved and has been waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its glowing patina. Drawers have hand cut dovetails on this understated antique furniture from France.

Size is 17" wide, 14" deep and 36" tall.
