This classic Yankee corner cabinet was hand made in New England about 1830 of cherry wood. Upper doors have old wavy glass panes, lower doors have raised panels.
The old finish is very good with warm antique patina and lots of character - mars, stains and wear - see photos.
The interior shelves appear original, solid walnut with grooves for plate display. Square nail heads are visible, the top is roughsawn. The interior sides and back date from about 50 years ago when they were either replaced or added. Sometimes these cabinets had no sides but the walls behind them that they were attached to.
Measurements of this harmonious and charming furniture are 50" across, 83" tall and sides are 29" from the back inside corner to the front tip of the crown molding.
