Norwegian Country Pine Antique 1880 Day or Trundle Bed

This country pine day bed pulls out to a "trundle" bed and was hand carved in Norway about 1880.

The wax finish needs only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth to maintain its warm patina. There are shrinkage separations from age and mars for antique character. Carved wooden pegs secure the joints of this rustic farmhouse furniture.

Between the front hand carved panels is a delicate vine motif. A new mattress was fitted to this small bed and is included, taped shut in a plastic bag.

Measurements when closed are 6' long, 27" deep and 28" tall, when opened, depth is up to 47."
