Norwegian Immigrant Hand Carved 1880 Antique Pine Armoire

Hand crafted in Wisconsin by a Norwegian immigrant about 1880, this wonderfully made country pine armoire is picturesque.

Entirely hand carved with rustic folk motifs, every surface is charmingly irregular. The finish is in excellent condition, preserving traces of old paint, see photos. Door panels are raised and hand chamfered.

The interior is 16" deep and has carved wooden clothes hooks at the top, it could be fitted with a closet pole or shelves as desired. Measurements are 44" wide, 21" deep and 6' 11" tall.
