Oak 1900 Antique 13 Drawer Map Chest, Drawing or Document File Cabinet

Crafted of solid oak about 1900, this huge 13 drawer map chest, drawing or document file has its original finish in remarkably fine condition. Waxed and polished, it needs only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth to maintain its warm antique patina. There are stains and burn marks on the top for character.

Ten wide drawers have inside measurements of 60" wide, 22" deep and 2" high and move on wooden slides. Drawers all have brass pulls.

This American made library furniture is extremely large and heavy, so measuring is critical. There is no proof, but this cabinet was said to have been used for nautical charts at the Port of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Dimensions are 71" wide, 57" tall and 27" deep.
