Oak 1900 Antique English Campaign Chest or Dresser

"Campaign" furniture was designed in England for military officers in the field, with brass corners, recessed pulls and no overhangs for easier transport.

This solid quarter sawn oak low chest or dresser dates from about 1900. There are no keys, but locks are signed "G. Harley & Co., Westhampton," England.

Drawers have dovetailed solid mahogany sides. The original finish has marvelous antique character - mars and wear. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its glowing patina.

Size of this historic furniture is 36" wide, 20" deep and 22" tall.
