Olive Italian Bombe Chest, Dresser or Commode, Tuscany

This wonderful "bombe" or convex shaped chest, dresser or commode is genuine olive wood mosaic, hand crafted in the Tuscany region of Italy in the 1940's or 1950's.

Traditional use of the knobby and knotty olive trees is done with cross hatch work and banding plus the uneveness that shows true hand work.

Beautifully figured grain is enhanced by a superb satiny finish on this vintage furniture. This elegant but rustic style has been made since the late 1600's.

Embossed hardware is original, size is 44" wide, 18" deep and 32" tall.
