A pair of genuine bronze elevator doors are architectural salvage from the famous Art Deco period "Chicago Board of Trade" building. Constructed in 1930, it was the tallest skyscraper in Chicago for many years. There are deeply embossed industrial and dam scenes with original painting.
The original lacquer finish is worn in spots, see photos. Doors have a bronze rim all around, all of the edges are not polished and there are mounting holes as shown. Removed after a remodeling project, these doors are quite heavy.
Measurements are almost 22" wide or 44" wide together, 1 1/2" deep and 84 1/2" tall.
