A classic American "banjo" clock is signed "Plymouth." Dating from about 1920, the 8 day movement has been professionally cleaned and oiled and is in good working condition - striking the hour and half. There is discoloration and paint chips on the original dial.
Reverse painted glass is intact, depicting George Washington and his home, Mount Vernon. The mahogany and birch case has a finish in very good condition, there are brass mounts and a cast eagle finial on top. Measurements of this antique timepiece are 29" tall, 10" wide and 4" deep.
