Railroad Station 1850's Antique Walnut Mail Desk, Hotel Reception #27555

This desk with mailboxes was hand made for a railroad station in Ohio during the 1850's, and later used as a hotel reception desk.

The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique country furniture, crafted with square nails. There are just enough stains and shrinkage separations from age for a little character.

The lift up writing surface is a single wide plank of solid walnut. Corners have hand cut dovetail joints. Mailboxes lift off for easier delivery.

Dimensions are 40" wide, 27" deep and 54 1/2" tall. The desk area begins at 33" tall and rises to 36".
