Renaissance or Black Forest 1890 Antique Carved Oak Bookcase or China Cabinet

A spectacular Renaissance design bookcase or china cabinet was deeply hand carved of solid oak about 1890 in the Black Forest area of southern Germany and Switzerland near the French border.

There are three dimensional sculpted ram and lion heads, most any kind of fruit, swags and artistic moldings.

The original finish has been waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft cloth is needed to maintain the warm patina. Shelves adjust on wooden supports on this European heirloom furniture. A working lock and key secure the doors.

This antique, worthy of any castle, disassembles for delivery, and dimensions are 70 1/2" wide, 26" deep and 7' tall.
