Set of 6 Swedish 1850 Antique Biedermeier Dining Chairs

A set of six dining chairs from the Biedermeier period were hand crafted of solid curly birch in Sweden about 1840.

Inlaid with Macassar ebony and individually hand engraved classical figures, the finish is in excellent condition. There have been various restorations over the years and all are solid and tight.

This elegant but understated antique furniture has been newly upholstered. Hand carved mortise joints are visible on the backs.

Size is 18" wide, 18" deep, 34" tall and seats are 19" high.
