Dating from the late Victorian or Eastlake period about 1880, this clock is signed by one of America's most famous makers, "Seth Thomas of Connecticut."
The solid walnut case has incised or "spoon" carving of the era, the gleaming finish is excellent. The original dial is inscribed "ST" as well.
Freshly oiled, the brass 8 day movement works accurately and strikes the hour and half. Wavy glass with design, embossed pendulum and iron key all appear original.
This nostalgic antique clock measures 15" wide, 6" deep and 23" tall.
