Silk & Velvet Pleated & Embroidered Antique Textile Quilt or Coverlet, Framed

This charming hand made textile appears to date from around 1900. The quilt or coverlet is made of diagonally pleated squares of velvets and silks, all lavishly embroidered. Hand made embroidery lace completes this lovely antique handicraft piece.

It was later mounted in a custom "shadow box" fruitwood frame behind a plexiglass cover. Overall size is 74" wide, 81 1/2" tall and 2 1/2" deep.
