Signed "Stanley of London Sextant 1894," this sextant nautical instrument with a teak and brass case is a modern hand crafted replica.
An exact copy of the 1894 original, these precision devices were used with nautical charts to determine exact locations on the oceans, based on the stars.
Exceptionally well made in India, the shaped case measures 5 1/2" x 6" and 2 1/2" tall. The patinated brass instrument itself is about 4" x 4" and 2 1/4" tall.
