Stereopticon Antique Picture Viewer
A "stereopticon" is a viewer for three dimensional photo cards, this one dates from the 1890's. All original, the maple frame has a fine finish.
The copper flashed hood has an eagle insignia and a velvet edge with some wear, see photos. Size of this American antique is 13" long, 6" wide and 8" tall including the folding handle.
