Swedish Antique Country Pine Bench, Trundle Bed

This antique Swedish country bench has a seat that flips open to form a cozy trundle bed for children. Hand-made with wide planks of beautiful knotty pine, there are traditional Swedish turned spindles on the back.

This bench was made in the middle 1800's, and the golden finish is very good, with lots of patina and character, including mars and wear from over 150 years of use. It is secured with cut square nails, and see photos of the carved wooden pegs.

Beautiful antique furniture, this bench would work very well in a back or front hallway with a hideaway place for boots or mittens.

Measurements are 5'11" long, 20" deep, 35" tall and the seat is 18" high.
