Vermont Country Pine Deacon, Hall Bench, Settle

There are many names for classic New England benches like this - deacon's bench or a settle. Hand-carved about 1850 in pine, ash and oak, every piece shows individual variation.

Graceful lines and delicate proportions characterize this rugged and usable antique country furniture. The golden brown finish has marvelous warm patina with stains and mars to show its age. Sculpted from a single wide plank, the seat is comfortable.

Measurements are 6' 3" long, 18" deep, 31" tall, and the seat is 17" high.
